Actor Sonu Sood Launches Toll Free Helpline For Migrants Going Home

Mumbai:
Actor Sonu Sood on Tuesday said he has launched a toll free number to facilitate migrants to reach their home.
Moved by the plight of troubled migrants walking several miles without food and water to reach their home, Sood facilitated several buses for workers stuck in the city due to the nationwide lockdown.
The actor has transported workers to far off states such as Karnataka, Bihar, Jharkhand and UP.

Now he has launched a toll free number - 18001213711 through which one can reach out to Sood's team for help.
"I was getting a lot of calls... thousands of calls everyday. My family and friends were busy collecting the data then we realised we might miss out on a lot of people who we will not be able to approach us. So we decided to open this call centre, it is a toll free number," Sood told PTI.
The actor said the attempt is to help as many people as possible to reach their homes.
"We have a dedicated team working on it, trying to reach out to maximum people and contact each and every person. We don''t know how many people we will be able to help but we will try," he added.

ICYMl Mumbai Police Post On Cyber Security Has A Gulabo Sitabo Twist

New delhi
Mumbai Police's official Instagram handle, which regularly shares memes based on Bollywood films in order to spread social messages, did it once again. This time, with a Gulabo Sitabo reference. The aforementioned meme had a still of the film's lead actor Ayushmann Khurrana from the film's trailer. The idea behind the meme was to encourage the citizens of Mumbai to use strong passwords to ensure cyber security. The text on the meme read, "Strong password to Mumbaikars with a weak password: "Humein godh lelo (adopt me)." The post was accompanied by the hashtags  #$tr0ngP@$$w0₹d, #BlockbusterPassword, #cybersafety and #onlinesafety. Gulabo Sitaboshowcases the twisted equation of a landlord named Mirza (Big B) and his tenant Baankey (Ayushmann).
This is the first time in Amitabh Bachchan's 51-year-long career that his film will release on an OTT platform. In his post, Big B described the film's digitals release as an "another challenge." Big B wrote: "Joined film industry in 1969. Now in 2020. It's... 51 years! During this formidable period seen many changes and challenges. Now another challenge. Digital release of my film Gulabo Sitabo. June 12, only on Amazon Prime. Worldwide. 200 plus countries. That is amazing. Honoured to be a part of yet another challenge

Ayushmann worked with Shoojit Sircar in the 2012 romantic comedy Vicky Donor, co-starring Annu Kapoor and Yami Gautam. The film marked his debut in Bollywood. Gulabo Sitabo is Amitabh Bachchan and Vicky Kaushal's first project together.

Avatar 2 Set Photos Highlight James Cameron’s Underwater Tech Advancements

The latest photos for the Avatar 2 set highlight the underwater tech James Cameron is using to bring the oceans of Pandora to life in the sequel.
The latest photos from the Avatar 2 set highlight the underwater technology James Cameron is using to film the sequel. Cameron, of course, broken his own box office when he released the original Avatar in 2009, grossing $2.79 billion and netting three Oscars for his efforts. While the blockbuster was criticized for its white-savior-in-space narrative, it was also celebrated for its ground-breaking use of 3D, immersive CGI, and motion-capture effects. Never one to rest on his laurels, Cameron has spent the past decade working on not one, but four sequels to his space epic and plans to start things off by taking audiences to the oceans of Pandora in Avatar 2 next year.

With films production currently shut down because of the coronavirus pandemic, there's been some question as to whether Avatar 2 will be able to make its release date in December 2021, given the sheer extensiveness of the project. However, for the time being, the film is sticking with that date and continuing "virtual" production on its many, many VFX elements remotely. Meanwhile, the Avatar franchise's social media promoters continue to build anticipation by releasing behind the scenes images from the set.
By filming them this way, Cameron's intention is to bring a heightened sense of realism to Avatar 2's underwater scenes, as far as their physics are concerned. The director is famously a deep sea diver and has channeled his obsession with the ocean into his art by making the undersea sci-fi thriller The Abyss, in addition to the documentaries Aliens of the Deep and Ghosts of the Abyss. Given Cameron's meticulous approach, it'll be interesting to see what the oceans of Pandora actually look like in Avatar 2. If nothing else, it's safe to assume they'll be worlds apart from James Wan's fantastical depiction of life under the sea in his DCEU movie Aquaman. Cameron actually spoke out about that last year, admitting he would've struggled to direct Aquaman because of its "total dreamlike disconnection" from the reality of what underwater movement is like.

Obviously, the other question is whether audiences will care about Avatar 2's underwater realism, or if they'll prefer the expressive fantasy of Aquaman. The original movie's blend of (outdated) environmental parable and cutting-edge visual effects feels like it belongs to a bygone era, and these new films will be hard-pressed to stand out in a landscape that's moved on from the 3D boom kicked off by the first Avatar. That being said, it's never smart to bet against Cameron, and the director has undoubtedly taken into consideration how the art of blockbuster storytelling has evolved in the era of multi-film narratives while plotting out his Avatar sequels. Fingers crossed, then, Avatar 2 will make its current date and we'll finally get to judge the end result in about a year and a half.

Justice League: Could The Snyder Cut's Release Unpause Snyder's DCEU?

If the Justice League Snyder Cut does release, that would mean a lot more for the DC Extended Universe than casual movie fans might think.

The Justice League Snyder Cut could set Zack Snyder's DCEU story back on course. A fact that has become clear since Justice League's theatrical release in 2017 is that the movie's extensive overhaul after Snyder's departure not only derailed the film itself off of its intended course, but his further plans for the franchise were also left on ice. On top of that, Ben Affleck would vacate the role of Batman, while Henry Cavill's future as Superman could go either way.
At the same time, the topic of Zack Snyder's Justice League and whether or not it will ultimately release continues to grow, particularly in recent days. Snyder is set to do a livestream director's commentary for Man of Steel on May 20 at 8 am PST through Vero, similar to his March commentary for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Accompanying this are rumors from multiple outlets that he could be officially announcing the release of the Snyder Cut. This has also been followed by the unexpected emergence of a Justice League-centered HBO Max billboard, along with Jason Momoa reaffirming his support for it on social media (with Snyder himself sharing Momoa's video on Vero).
On top of all this, Snyder's announcement of the Man of Steel commentary included the hashtag #PausedNotStopped, which has led to speculation that the completion of Snyder's planned five-movie arc could be in the cards. The collection of recent events begs the question of what the larger effects of his Justice League movie releasing could ultimately be. It could snowball and result in cut storylines being added back in either through other director's cuts, deleted scenes, or a general movement forward with Snyder's plan.
The project that would most directly benefit from the Snyder Cut's release would be the Ayer Cut of Suicide Squad, with the precedent the Snyder Cut would set opening the door for Ayer's movie to be released. Beyond that, the planned Justice League 2 and Justice League 3 could also hypothetically be revived along with Ben Affleck's Batman solo movie, with HBO Max being the likely home for them and the Snyder Cut. In the case of the latter three, it must be stated upfront that they remain a long shot, owing to complications from Affleck's departure (though he too has publicly supported the Snyder Cut's release), Cavill's contractual limbo, and other factors.
However, that such a scenario can now even be entertained shows just how unique the Snyder Cut situation really is. The fact of the matter is that the Justice League Snyder Cut being released would be the definition of a Hollywood game-changer, and there is now enough noise around it to indicate that the effects wouldn't end with Snyder's version seeing the light of day. It's no secret that Snyder's plans for the DCEU were sidelined in 2016 and 2017, and now, movies produced through DC Films aren't as connected as they once were. A Snyder Cut release could potentially change all that by re-introducing elements - such as Darkseid, Martian Manhunter, and more - into future DCEU movies. Snyder wouldn't need to return, but his story could live on.

Thor Makes A Big Location Mistake In Avengers: Infinity War tow times

Thor's objective in Avengers: Infinity War is to get Stormbreaker in Nidavellir, but he couldn't even properly say the name of the location.

In Avengers: Infinity War, Thor (Chris Hemsworth) twice mispronounces the name of a key location. Picking up after the events of Thor: Ragnarok, the Joe and Anthony Russo-directed blockbuster officially introduces fans to Thanos (Josh Brolin) after teasing the Mad Titan's arrival for years. To immediately establish just how powerful the villain is, Avengers: Infinity War opens with him killing half of the God of Thunder's people including Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and Heimdall (Idris Elba). Throughout the remainder of the film, Thor is focused on defeating him, and it all depends on getting his hands on a new weapon - Stormbreaker.
For the most part, Avengers: Infinity War keeps the original Avengers separated, particularly its main three heroes. Captain America (Chris Evans) remained on Earth, Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) traveled to Titan, while Thor made his way to Nidavellir. One of the Nine Realms, Nidavellir is the home of the legendary blacksmith Eitri (Peter Dinklage); he created Mjölnir, as well as Thanos' Infinity Gauntlet as the villain held Eitri's people hostage. With his hammer destroyed by Hela (Cate Blanchett) in Thor: Ragnarok, Thor is convinced that he couldn't properly face the Mad Titan without another powerful weapon, so instead of immediately seeking the purple alien,  Thor teams up with Rocket (voiced by Bradley Cooper) and Teenage Groot (voiced by Vin Diesel) to seek the dwarf king in the hopes that he'll be able to create the battle-ax that could defeat Thanos.
As Thor explains all of this to the Guardians of the Galaxy, who saved him from the Asgardian ship's rubble, the God of Thunder says, "Nivadellir," though the location is properly pronounced "Nidavellir." What makes this worse is that he didn't just do this once, but twice while explaining the importance of getting Stormbreaker before he faced Thanos. Even after Rocket said the location correctly, as he's amused by the information that the legendary planet is real, the God of Thunder still pronounces it incorrectly. In fact, it's only after he and his newest allies get to the vicinity of the neutron star that he finally says, "Nidavellir."

Justice League #SynderCut Is Official; To Release On HBO Max In 2021ue

It’s official: the Justice League Snyder Cut is real – and it’s coming to HBO Max in 2021.
Director Zack Snyder announced the news during a Man of Steel watch party (featuring special guest Henry Cavill for a Q&A session) on social media site Vero.
He revealed the news with a black-and-white poster, detailing that the Snyder Cut is coming to HBO Max next year. "It'll probably be in '21... we've got a little work to do. We're doing it. Get ready."

Earlier during the Q&A, it appeared the Snyder Cut was a non-story and the saga would run on and on. The director said, "I'm not in control of it. I said it exists and am very clear what I did with it. It's not really up to me. If it was I would have left it on a thumb drive in a bathroom!"
Further details have been revealed by THR. A $20m to $30m budget have both been mooted, while the idea of reportedly splitting the Snyder Cut into six parts or running it as a four-hour movie has been floated.
"It will be an entirely new thing, and, especially talking to those who have seen the released movie, a new experience apart from that movie," Snyder said. "You probably saw one-fourth of what I did."
The Snyder Cut, the version of Justice League that Snyder worked on before departing the project due to a family tragedy, was talked about for years: an almost-mythical, radically different version of the DC team-up movie that was eventually directed by Joss Whedon. It’s a director’s cut that has been vocally backed by fans social media campaigns and even flyovers at SDCC.
Speculation, though, reached fever pitch earlier this week after Snyder said he would be hosting a Man of Steel watchalong just a week before HBO Max’s launch on May 27. This, when coupled with several film journalists indicating that a big announcement was imminent, led to #ReleaseTheSnyderCut trending worldwide.
In an official statement on the Snyder Cut, Snyder added: "I want to thank HBO Max and Warner Brothers for this brave gesture of supporting artists and allowing their true visions to be realized. Also a special thank you to all of those involved in the SnyderCut movement for making this a reality."
Robert Greenblatt, Chairman of Warner Media Entertainment, said: “Since I got here 14 months ago, the chant to #ReleaseTheSnyderCut has been a daily drumbeat in our offices and inboxes. Well, the fans have asked, and we are thrilled to finally deliver. At the end of the day, it really is all about them and we are beyond excited to be able to release Zack’s ultimate vision for this film in 2021."
Honestly? We never thought we'd see the day. But it's now oh-so-close. Drink it in. The Justice League Snyder Cut is officially official. Because it's 2020, and why not? The S stands for hope, after all.

The Jurassic Park Moment That Made Sam Neill Feel Really Famous

From any angle, Sam Neill has had a tremendous career. Ninety-nine percent of other actors would swap out their IMDB with his in a second, but despite regularly working for decades and fronting one of the most well-liked and successful blockbusters of all-time, he’s not one of those stars that’s too famous to go about his daily life. He doesn’t regard himself as a celebrity and rarely feels like it, at least when he’s not a Comic-Con.

As someone who has been to Comic-Con plenty of times in the past (unfortunately not this year), I can attest to what a weird experience it can be, even as an observer. It’s almost like a sporting event. Normally in life, most of us have some degree of restraint because we don’t want to be visibly way more excited than everyone else. At Comic-Con, however, everyone else is usually freaking out, which allows everyone else to turn off their own filters. So, the noise and the excitement often just builds and builds. It’s unreal and not surprising Sam Neill has such vivid memories.

Avengers: Endgame Trivia #60: THIS Superhero Was Designed By A Fan & He Got $220 Paid For It

Before social media was cool, Marvel Comics even back in his 80s used to organise these interesting contests for fans.

Avengers: Endgame Trivia #60: Comics have been a very important part of the childhood of many out there. Back then there was this whole debate of tv-watching and comic-reading ones proving who are the real ones. But, over the years, the lines have faded and many of those people are just Marvel or Avengers fans at the moment.
Before social media was cool and way before Avengers: Endgame, Marvel Comics even back in his 80s used to organise these interesting contests for fans. In one such contest, fans were asked to draw a concept-art for Spider-Man.
According to a trivia published in Facts.net, “When Marvel Comics hosted a contest in 1982 for aspiring artists, they were shocked by the entry submitted by Randy Schueller. He submitted a concept art for a storyline that involved Spider-Man upgrading his suit to all black for stealth purposes.”
